Limassol: Foreign Nationals Deported After Riots

Police have deported nine Indian nationals arrested for involvement in a brawl in Limassol on January 27, 2026. According to the Ministry of Justice, the deportation was carried out as part of the government's policy to combat crime.

A total of 11 foreign nationals were arrested in connection with the incident. One of them is a European citizen and was not deported, while the case of an Indian national is being investigated for a sham marriage in cooperation with Interpol.

The authorities emphasize their coordination to ensure public order and safety.
