Latsia: 57-year-old assaulted after dating app meeting

A 57-year-old Greek Cypriot reported being attacked by unknown individuals in Latsia on Sunday night. According to the report, the 57-year-old had arranged a meeting through a dating app.

Upon arrival, he was met by unknown individuals who beat him and forcibly put him in his car. They then transported him to another location where they beat him again and damaged the vehicle.

After the perpetrators left the scene, the police and an ambulance were called, which transported the victim to Nicosia General Hospital. The 57-year-old sustained lacerations and was discharged after receiving first aid.

Police are investigating the case for conspiracy to commit a felony/misdemeanor, assault, abduction, and malicious damage. It is noted that TAE Nicosia received a similar complaint last month from a 40-year-old, also in Latsia.
