Larnaca: Eight Arrests for Undeclared Work – €41,050 in Fines
Eight people were arrested in Larnaca during a police operation targeting illegal employment. The operation took place on Tuesday, August 19, at a construction site.
According to the police, seven third-country nationals were arrested: three from Syria, three from Pakistan, and one from Guinea. They were found working illegally at the construction site without a permit, and two of them were illegally in Cyprus.
The three employers face charges of illegal employment. One was arrested at the construction site, while the other two appeared at the police station.
The Inspection Service issued eight notices for payment of fines for undeclared work, totaling €41,050.
