Larnaca: Police Investigate Death and Possible Poisoning

Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of a 78-year-old man and the possible poisoning of four other people in Larnaca.

According to the police, the deceased's wife was initially admitted to the hospital feeling unwell. Shortly after, her 78-year-old husband passed away.

Today, friends and acquaintances gathered at the deceased's home for coffee and support. Three people lost consciousness during the coffee gathering and were taken to the hospital. Two were given antidotes for possible poisoning, while the third person is in a comatose state.

Scientific tests will be conducted to determine the cause and whether the consumption of a common beverage caused the adverse health effects. Further investigations at the home will be conducted tomorrow morning, and samples will be taken for laboratory testing.
