Larnaca: Explosion at Metal Recycling Site – Three Seriously Injured

Three people were seriously injured in an explosion at a metal recycling company in Aradippou, Larnaca. According to philenews, the explosion occurred during the metal receiving process, and it is being investigated whether it was caused by an object from a firing range.
The injured, a 52-year-old Greek Cypriot, an employee of African origin, and a citizen from Bulgaria, were taken to Larnaca General Hospital. Their condition is serious.
Police bomb disposal experts, firefighters, the Department of Labor Inspection, and National Guard bomb disposal experts are at the scene. The facility reportedly does not have an operating license.
Larnaca Police Director, Giannis Sotiriadis, has informed the National Guard about the incident. Police are investigating the causes of the explosion.
