Larnaca: Extradition Proceedings to Germany for Terrorism Arrest

Extradition proceedings to Germany are underway for a person arrested at Larnaca airport based on a red notice.

The Officer of the Communications Branch of the Cyprus Police, Michalis Michael, stated to CNA that a person was located and arrested based on a red notice, and that extradition proceedings to Germany are in progress.

Regarding security measures, Mr. Michael mentioned that security measures continue at critical facilities and other areas with patrols and static patrols.

According to a report by Die Zeit, the 25-year-old arrested in Cyprus is linked to deadly attacks by Hamas. The 25-year-old arrived in Cyprus from Lebanon.
