Larnaca: 37-Year-Old Injures Two Police Officers During Arrest

A 37-year-old man was arrested in Larnaca after injuring two police officers while attempting to escape. The incident occurred when members of the MMAD, during a patrol, spotted the suspect suspiciously looking at parked vehicles.
The suspect, in an attempt to flee by car, collided with a parked vehicle, a EAC pole, and a patrol car, injuring two police officers. During the arrest, the 37-year-old resisted and tested positive for drug use. Two knives were found in his vehicle.
The Larnaca District Court issued a five-day detention order against him for negligence, assault, possession of a knife, driving under the influence of drugs, and resisting arrest. Investigations are continuing by the Larnaca Central Police Station and the Larnaca Traffic Police.
