Cyprus: 5 Greek Cypriots Remain Detained in Occupied Territories

The five Greek Cypriots remain in detention in the occupied territories, following a decision by the so-called "court" in occupied Trikomo. The "court" accepted the "police" request to extend the "interrogation" for another eight days.
According to the "police" of the pseudo-state, the five entered the occupied territories on July 17 from the crossing point at Strovilia. They were found in occupied Galatia carrying a blue folder, which contained information about directors of construction companies and "personal data of property titles" belonging to 14 Turkish Cypriots.
The lawyer for the five, Salih Can Doratli, described the detention as "shameful" and contrary to the European Convention on Human Rights. He challenged the "police" claims and demanded clarification regarding the alleged "personal data".
