Cyprus: 7 Arrests in Police Night Operation

Seven arrests were made during targeted police operations in Cyprus. The arrests relate to offenses such as burglary and theft, knife possession, domestic violence, and assault against a police officer.
As part of the operations, police stopped 418 vehicles and checked 608 people. 33 premises were also inspected, resulting in three complaints.
During traffic controls, 195 complaints were filed for traffic violations. Noteworthy are the 36 complaints for speeding and the 68 checks for driving under the influence of alcohol. Four vehicles were seized.
Police operations continue daily to prevent and combat crime.
