Cyprus: 7 Arrests Made During Police Operation

Cyprus Police conducted targeted operations across Cyprus, leading to the arrest of seven (7) individuals.

The arrests were made for a range of offenses, including knife possession, outstanding warrants, driving under the influence of alcohol, failure to appear in court, and illegal stay in the Republic of Cyprus.

During the operations, police stopped and checked 783 drivers and passengers and conducted 32 checks of premises.

Traffic controls were also carried out, resulting in 412 complaints for various violations, including 122 for speeding, 39 for not wearing a seatbelt, and 34 for using a mobile phone while driving. Seven vehicles were also impounded.

Police operations continue daily to prevent and suppress crime.
