Kozani: 29-year-old identified for card fraud against 36-year-old

Police in Kozani have solved a fraud case involving a 36-year-old victim. According to the report, on June 26, 2025, an unknown man posed as a customer and called the 36-year-old store owner. Using false pretenses, he persuaded him to issue two prepaid 'paysafe' cards worth a total of 922.50 euros and provide him with the codes.

Following an investigation, a 29-year-old woman was identified as the account holder to whom the money was credited. A criminal case has been filed against her for fraud. The preliminary investigation was conducted by the Kozani Crime Prosecution and Investigation Department, and the case file will be submitted to the Kozani Misdemeanor Prosecutor.
