Keratea Fire: DEDDIE Employees Released

The two DEDDIE (Hellenic Electricity Distribution Network Operator) employees who had been arrested in connection with the fire in Keratea have been released by order of the prosecutor. Further investigation has been ordered to determine the exact causes of the fire.
The two arrested individuals, responsible for repairing damages and maintaining the DEDDIE network in the Mesogeia area, are accused of negligence in network maintenance.
Officers from the Fire Investigation Department have concluded that the fire was caused by omissions related to the inspection and maintenance of the DEDDIE network.
DEDDIE sources called the arrest "unfair and illegal," arguing that the employees were trying to do their duty.
