Occupied Cyprus: Man Arrested for Spying on Military Installations

A man was arrested in occupied Cyprus on June 27, 2025, in the Yentidalga (Eptakomi) area, on charges of espionage.
According to Turkish Cypriot media, the suspect was photographing "military installations and residences belonging to the Turkish Peace Forces Command in Cyprus (KTBK)" with a mobile phone and camera.
Authorities confiscated the suspect's mobile phone and camera, which contained images and videos of military installations, as well as photographs of the Turkish embassy and parliament building. The "court" ordered his detention for four days.
