Occupied Territories: Greek Citizen Arrested for Espionage

A Greek citizen has been arrested by the "authorities" in the occupied territories, accused of photographing military areas. The arrested individual was brought before the "court" and remanded in custody for espionage, according to the Turkish Cypriot press.
According to the testimony of Sergeant Kemal Atikoglu, the suspect was arrested on June 27, 2025, in the Yentidalga (Eptakomi) area while photographing "military installations and residences of the Turkish Peace Forces Command in Cyprus (KTBK)." A mobile phone and camera were confiscated, containing videos from the "KTBK barracks in Morphou" and photos of the "Turkish Embassy" and the "parliament" building.
A recording device, USB, and memory card were found at his residence. The suspect, who entered on June 25 through the Ledra Palace crossing point with a tourist visa, claimed he was photographing historical sites as souvenirs. "Judge" Tutku Candaş ordered his detention for 4 days.
