The three-month-old infant remains hospitalized in critical condition in the intensive care unit. Police are investigating the case as possible abuse.

The infant's father remains in custody for child abuse and causing grievous bodily harm. Christodoulos Konsolos, Press Office Officer of the Police Headquarters, stated that testimonies are being examined.

It was reported that there are previous complaints against the alleged perpetrator, which will be taken into account in the investigation. Pending cases will follow the legal procedure.

The infant has a hematoma on the brain and underwent surgery. Offenses being investigated include causing grievous bodily harm, child exposure, child abuse under 16 years of age, and other negligent acts.
