Complaint Filed After Patient Dies During Ambulance Transport

A serious complaint has been filed following the death of a woman during transport to Nicosia General Hospital, as reported on Omega Channel's "Enimerosi Tora" program. According to the anonymous complainant, his mother, who was confined to a wheelchair due to health issues, fell three times while being transferred by the ambulance crew.
The complainant alleges that a nurse attempted to move the woman alone, causing her to fall. He states that his mother hit her head and then fell again while being moved to the stretcher. The family was later informed that the woman died en route to the hospital.
The deceased's son reported the incident to the police, and an autopsy was performed by state forensic pathologist, Nikolas Charalambous, and Marios Matsakis. Head injuries were found, and a histological examination was requested. The complainant is requesting that the histological examinations be expedited.
OKYPY has been informed of the complaint and has pledged to investigate the incident.
