Inappropriate Behavior Allegation at 112: Administrative Investigation

An administrative investigation has been ordered following a citizen's complaint about inappropriate behavior by a member of the Emergency Service 112 when reporting a fire in the Paphos district.

According to a police statement, the Deputy Chief of Police, Mr. Panikos Stavrou, issued instructions for an investigation following a social media post regarding the incident that took place on 15/08/2025.

The citizen alleged that upon calling 112 to report a fire near Lyso towards Pelathousa, they received a 'dismissive' response and were treated with apathy. The police have pledged to investigate the incident.

The complaint states that the 112 employee showed no interest in the exact location or the caller's details, causing disappointment.
