Kalavasos: Vehicle Crashes into Cafe, Driver Flees the Scene

A 53-year-old man was arrested after an incident in Kalavasos where his vehicle crashed into a cafe display. According to the Police, the man fled the scene and was later located in Zygi Marina.

The 53-year-old refused to take a preliminary breathalyzer test, despite smelling of alcohol. The Police will file a case against him in the Larnaca District Court for careless driving, leaving the scene of an accident, refusing to provide a preliminary breathalyzer test, driving a motor vehicle while it was immobilized, and driving a vehicle without insurance.

According to the Larnaca Police Department, the incident occurred when the driver, under investigation, lost control of his vehicle and crashed into the cafe display, causing minor damage.
