Two Syrians were kidnapped and beaten in Limassol by their compatriots over a financial dispute. According to police, one of the suspects claimed the victims had stolen 2,500 euros.

The two young men were abducted by their roommates and taken to a location where about 20 people were waiting for them. There, they were beaten and threatened, demanding the money.

Investigator: "The third suspect tied the two complainants with a black belt and asked a third complainant to pull them up. Then the suspect started hitting them on the legs with clubs until the club broke."

Subsequently, they were tied with cables behind vehicles and dragged on the ground. The perpetrators transported them to a warehouse, where they continued to threaten them.

Police arrested seven suspects, including the victims' roommates and three men guarding the warehouse. The court ordered their detention.
