Doctor Convicted of Indecent Assault on Patient – Appeals Rejected

The Court of Appeal rejected a doctor's appeal, upholding his conviction for four indecent assaults on a female patient during a medical procedure in August 2020. The initial four-month prison sentence remains in effect.

The patient reported that the doctor kissed her unsolicitedly four times while she was recovering from sedation. The court rejected the defense's claims, finding the patient's testimony credible and consistent.

The Attorney General's appeal for a stricter sentence was also rejected.
