Demosthenous Murder: Convict Arrested on Drug Charges

Authorities have arrested a 30-year-old convict from the central prisons, who was serving a sentence for drug-related offenses, in connection with the murder of Stavros Demosthenous. The arrest followed a testimony regarding the motorcycle in question.
DNA laboratory tests from a hat, motorcycle, and double-cab vehicle are expected to play a significant role. A 39-year-old expatriate, one of the four under detention, is considered important as he was allegedly the driver of the double-cab.
Police have already made five arrests, and more are possible. The murder will be discussed in Parliament, with the Minister of Justice and the Chief of Police present. A search was also conducted at the home of a 30-year-old woman, who was taken for questioning. Investigations are expanding beyond Limassol, to Nicosia and other cities.
