Significant developments are expected in the Demosthenous murder case, with police expediting arrests. According to reports, one of the arrests concerns a person with a "direct connection" to the murder, possibly playing a leading role in the assassination plot.

Meanwhile, serious security gaps are emerging in the Limassol detention centers. A detainee allegedly obtained a mobile phone from another defendant, leading to an administrative investigation.

In addition, the renewal of the detention order for the 51-year-old (with DNA on the helmet/motorcycle) and the 45-year-old footballer (owner of the motorcycle) is expected today.

Evangelos Evangelou also referred to a fatal traffic accident in the Limassol district and a major operation for a possible fraud of 700 million euros.
