Stavros Demosthenous Murder: Optimism for Resolution, Significant Developments

Significant developments are expected in the Stavros Demosthenous murder case, with the two 28-year-olds appearing before the Prosecutor in Thessaloniki and consenting to their extradition to Cyprus. Extradition procedures have commenced by the Thessaloniki Court of Appeal, and they will remain in custody until then.
Both arrestees deny any involvement in the case. The Police express optimism that the presence of the two in Cyprus will contribute to solving the crime, considering them 'keys' to the investigations. The Minister of Justice, Marios Hartsiotis, in statements to the state channel, confirmed the optimism for resolving the case.
Investigators tracked down the two Georgian nationals through the evaluation of material from closed-circuit surveillance and testimonies. A vehicle used to escape the perpetrators is also implicated in the case. So far, seven people have been arrested, and another arrest is possible.
