Finikounta: 22-Year-Old Arrested in Campsite Double Murder Case

A 22-year-old has been arrested as an accomplice in the double murder that occurred at a campsite in Finikounta. The young man surrendered to the police accompanied by his lawyer.
According to his testimony, he had a "personal and painful relationship" with the victim, the campsite owner. His lawyer, Charalambos Lykoudis, stated that the 22-year-old admitted to attempting to intimidate the 68-year-old owner with an air gun prior to the murder.
The 22-year-old claims he initially tried to blackmail the campsite owner for money, but the murder was not pre-planned. He alleges that his friend, who remains at large, committed the murder during a blackmail attempt.
Authorities believe that at least three people are involved in the case, including a moral instigator.
The double murder occurred on October 5th, when a gunman stormed the campsite and fatally shot the 68-year-old owner and a 60-year-old caretaker.
