Phaidonos Summoned for Questioning in Rape Case

The suspended mayor of Paphos, Phaidon Phaidonos, is being summoned for questioning following instructions from the Legal Service to pursue criminal charges related to a rape allegation.
The Police confirmed receiving the 'green light' to draft an indictment, which is expected to be filed before the Criminal Court within the coming days, according to Christodoulos Konsolos, Deputy Press Spokesperson of the Police Headquarters.
Phaidonos will be formally charged with the offenses arising from the investigative material. Investigations are also continuing into other allegations and financial matters concerning the suspended mayor.
