Seven Arrests Made Overnight Across Cyprus

Police made seven arrests overnight across Cyprus as part of targeted preventative operations. The arrests relate to various offenses, including robbery, theft, illegal possession of drugs, and assault against a police officer.
In the Limassol district, two individuals were arrested for robbery and theft, and one individual for an outstanding warrant. In the Larnaca district, one individual was arrested for illegal possession of drugs and one individual for an outstanding warrant. In the Famagusta district, one individual was arrested for assaulting a police officer and traffic violations, as well as one individual for illegal possession of drugs.
In addition, 39 premises were inspected and more than 500 vehicle checks were carried out, resulting in 90 traffic complaints, 27 of which related to speeding. Seven cars were impounded as part of investigations into traffic offenses.
These operations are part of a broad preventative plan by the Police to prevent crime and enhance the public's sense of security.
