Seven Arrests for Various Offenses in One Night

The Cyprus Police made seven arrests during targeted preventative operations. The arrests relate to various offenses:

• Driving under the influence of alcohol
• Possession of an offensive weapon
• Illegal possession of property and narcotics
• Theft
• Failure to appear in court
• Speeding
• Illegal possession of property

During the operations, 371 vehicles and 214 individuals were checked. 21 premises were inspected. Traffic controls resulted in 133 complaints, four of which concerned driving under the influence of alcohol. Six vehicles were seized.

The operations are part of a broad police plan to prevent crime and enhance citizens' sense of security.
