Pit Bull Attacks Two-Year-Old Girl in Foini

A two-year-old girl was attacked by a Pit Bull in the village of Foini last Sunday. The Senior District Veterinary Officer of Lemesos, Konstantinos Oikonomidis, stated to Trito that the dog will not be euthanized, even though it belongs to a prohibited breed.

Mr. Oikonomidis emphasized that the dog was examined twice and does not show aggressive tendencies. It is considered an isolated incident, and he explained that any dog can become aggressive under certain circumstances.

The dog will be returned to its owners, who will face charges from the Police for negligence.
