Businessman Bahjat Jafari Returns to Occupied Territories

Bahjat Jafari, an Iranian national with "citizenship" of the pseudo-state, has returned to the occupied territories via Istanbul from France. He was arrested in Nice based on a European warrant issued by the authorities of the Republic of Cyprus for a case of usurpation of Greek Cypriot land.
The Appeals Chamber of the Aix-en-Provence Court of Appeal reportedly rejected the execution of the warrant on December 10. Jafari claims that the French authorities examined his case "thoroughly, independently and with complete impartiality."
Jafari thanked his lawyers, the Turkish Cypriot "people", the "president" and "foreign minister" of the pseudo-state, as well as the "Turkish Cypriot contractors association" for their support.
Turkish Cypriot "Prime Minister" Ünal Üstel claimed that the decision confirms that the European arrest warrant has no legal force in the pseudo-state.
