Extensive Police Checks in Cyprus: 4 Arrests

Cyprus Police conducted extensive checks across the island, leading to the arrest of four individuals for various offenses.
The operations, which took place overnight, included patrols in urban areas aimed at preventing criminal activities and ensuring public order. 809 drivers and passengers were checked, and 26 premises were inspected, resulting in two complaints.
The arrests were related to offenses such as theft by an employee, motorcycle theft, and public insult. Additionally, during traffic controls, 372 complaints were filed for traffic violations, with 204 of these concerning speeding. 9 vehicles were also detained.
The Police announced that the operations will continue with increased presence and targeted checks.
