Aradippou Explosion: Criminal Case Against Illegal Factory

The Larnaca District Self-Government Organization (EOA) has initiated a criminal case against a metal recycling factory in Aradippou, where an explosion occurred on August 29th, injuring three people.

According to Angelos Hatziharalambous, President of the EOA Larnaca, the factory has been operating without a license since 2014. Instructions were given to file a criminal case against the owner.

The Mayor of Aradippou, Christodoulos Partou, stated that in 2023, the Court imposed a fine of 600 euros on the owners for operating without a license.

The Aradippou Municipal Council will discuss the matter and consider further actions.
