Channel 4 Documentary Exposes Sexual Harassment in Ayia Napa

A new Channel 4 documentary reveals allegations of sexual harassment and poor working conditions faced by young British women in Ayia Napa.
Journalist Tir Dhondy, disguised as a hairdresser, investigated the working and living conditions. The documentary reveals nightclub owners boasting about sexual assaults, while employers offered sexual favors in exchange for work.
The workers, often aged 16 or 17, were forced to stay in dangerous accommodations with broken security systems, mold, and insects. In addition, they faced financial exploitation with hidden costs and illegal work without permits.
The UK Home Office has warned of incidents of exploitation amounting to modern slavery.
