Avgorou: House Fire Started by Electrical Appliance

Investigations into the cause of the fire in Avgorou have been completed. According to the examinations, the fire was caused by an electrical appliance.

Specifically, the fire broke out from a freezer that was installed and operating in the exterior of the house, as determined by on-site examinations by members of the TAE Ammochostos, the Fire Service, and the Electromechanical Service.

The family of four residing in the house was taken to the hospital. Tragically, during the extinguishing operation, firefighters found a charred dog in the backyard.

Investigations are continuing by the Xylofagou Police Station.
