Police Officer Arrested for Sexual Harassment – Suspended from Duty

A police officer was arrested yesterday, based on a court warrant, for offenses related to sexual harassment and indecent assault.

The officer was brought before the Nicosia District Court today, which issued a two-day detention order. A disciplinary and criminal case is being investigated against the officer, and he is expected to be suspended from duty by order of the Deputy Chief of Police.
