Police Checks Across Cyprus: Arrests and Fines Issued

Cyprus Police conducted extensive checks across the island, aiming to prevent criminal activities and ensure public order.
During the operations, four people were arrested for various offenses, including robbery, assault, theft, domestic violence, and impersonation.
593 vehicles and 759 individuals were checked, and 27 premises were inspected. Traffic controls resulted in 359 fines for traffic violations and 11 investigated cases. Six vehicles were impounded.
Of the fines issued, 96 were for speeding. One driver tested positive for drug use. 10 checks were conducted for driving under the influence of drugs and 61 for driving under the influence of alcohol.
