Police Operations: Eight Arrests Across Cyprus

Cyprus Police conducted extensive operations overnight, leading to the arrest of eight individuals across Cyprus.

The arrests relate to cases including illegal possession of property, failure to appear in court, and illegal stay in the Republic of Cyprus. Other charges include causing grievous bodily harm, impersonation, circulation of forged documents, fraud, reckless driving, and resisting arrest.

In addition, 23 premises were inspected, resulting in five complaints. On the road network, over 380 checks were carried out, resulting in 115 complaints for traffic violations and four for driving under the influence of alcohol after 111 alcohol checks. One vehicle was seized as part of the investigation of traffic offenses.

These operations are part of a broader police plan to prevent crime and enhance citizen safety.
