Police: Campaigns on Larnakos Avenue, 786 complaints in 2025

The Police issued an announcement regarding the fatal road collision on Larnakos Avenue, Aglantzia, and related reports.

Specifically, they confirm that they received a letter from the Nicosia Municipality on 26/05/2025 regarding the traffic problem in the area. Immediate instructions were given for action by the Nicosia Traffic Police.

The Police state that targeted campaigns were carried out periodically. From 01/01/2025 to date, 786 traffic complaints have been made on Larnakos Avenue, with 90% of these relating to speeding.

The causes of the fatal collision are being investigated by the Nicosia Traffic Police.
