Police Respond to Criticism Regarding Larnakos Avenue After Fatality

Police have responded to criticism regarding the situation on Larnakos Avenue in Aglantzia, following a tragic accident in which a 20-year-old lost his life. Residents had warned about speed racing.

According to the police, a letter was received from the Nicosia Municipality on 26/05/2025 regarding the issue, and instructions were given to the Nicosia Traffic Police. Targeted campaigns were conducted, and since 01/01/2025, there have been 786 traffic complaints on the avenue, with 90% related to speeding.

The causes of the fatal collision are under investigation by the Nicosia Traffic Police.
