Aradippou: Explosion Injured Undergo Surgery – Investigation Ongoing

The three injured individuals from the explosion at a scrap metal processing plant in Aradippou have undergone surgery. According to TAE Larnaca Press Officer Spyros Chrysostomou, the injured, aged 39, 42, and 52, are hospitalized in serious condition but out of danger.

During the surgeries, fragments were removed from their bodies, caused by the explosion of an unexploded military ordnance during unloading. Authorities are investigating to locate where the 52-year-old collected the ordnance, as well as the conditions under which the plant received the metals. The existence of the necessary operating permits for the business is also being examined.
