Attempted Murder in Vrysoules: Search for 48-year-old

The Famagusta Police are continuing their search for 48-year-old Marinos Kourouniadis, wanted in connection with the attempted murder of a 61-year-old colleague in Vrysoules on August 8th. The victim remains in critical condition in the ICU of Nicosia Hospital.

Authorities are investigating the possibility that Kourouniadis fled to the occupied territories. The British Bases have been informed to conduct checks at the Strovilia and Pergamos checkpoints. Searches are also ongoing in the free areas.

The incident occurred after an argument between the two men, who worked at an egg packaging company in Vrysoules. The 48-year-old allegedly struck the 61-year-old with his car, causing a skull fracture and cerebral hemorrhage.

Police have taken statements from eyewitnesses and family members of the suspect. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Paralimni Police Station or the Citizen's Line.
