Attempted Murder in Vrysoules: Search for 48-Year-Old Perpetrator

Investigations continue into the case of the attempted murder against a 61-year-old in Vrysoules, which was committed last Friday. Police are searching for the 48-year-old Greek Cypriot, who allegedly ran over the victim with a car. The 61-year-old suffered a skull fracture and cerebral hemorrhage and is being treated at Nicosia General Hospital.
Authorities have investigated airports and ports, without finding any trace of the 48-year-old leaving the country. His details have been entered on a stop – list. The possibility of him having fled to the occupied territories is being examined, with the necessary actions having been taken through the Bi-communal Technical Committee on Crime.
Statements from the victim's and the alleged perpetrator's environment, who worked together in an egg sales company, have not shed light on the case. A very close person to the 48-year-old claimed ignorance of his whereabouts and possible motives.
The Police have released the photograph and details of the wanted man and re-issued a new publication on 13/08.
