Attempted Murder in Nicosia: Perpetrator Flees to Occupied Territories

The perpetrator of the attempted murder against a 21-year-old Indian man in Nicosia, has apparently fled to the occupied territories. Investigators from Nicosia CID have sent the case file to the Legal Service for instructions regarding the one person arrested.
According to police investigation, the 25-year-old ANKIT KUMAR, also from India, allegedly stabbed the victim in the neck following a dispute over a debt of 2,500 euros. The victim, although seriously injured, is out of danger.
Police are investigating dozens of similar cases of bloody incidents between foreigners, mainly over financial disputes.
