Military Officer Suicide Attempt: Arsenal Discovered at His Home

A 46-year-old warrant officer, serving at the artillery school, attempted to take his own life. After a call to a friend, who found him self-injured, he was transferred to the 401 Military Hospital and then to KAT Hospital.
On August 8th, the police were informed and during a search of his home in Gerakas, an entire arsenal was discovered. The 46-year-old had tried to avoid the search, citing the existence of other items in his house.
Specifically, firearms, air rifles and pistols, 511 cartridges of various calibers, magazines, military-type knives, a radio, handcuffs, batons and various weapon parts were found.
A case file was formed against him for violation of the law "On Weapons" and he was transferred to the 414 Military Psychiatric Hospital, but was released by order of the military prosecutor.
