48-year-old Wanted for Attempted Murder in Vrysoules

Police are searching for Marinos Kourouniadis, 48, from the Famagusta district, to assist with investigations into a case of attempted murder committed on August 8, 2025, in Vrysoules.

Anyone with information that could help locate him is asked to contact the Famagusta TAE at 23-803040, or the Citizen's Line at 1460, or the nearest Police Station.

According to the Police, on Friday at 3 p.m., information was received about an injured person in a village in the Famagusta district. A 61-year-old man was taken to Famagusta General Hospital with a skull fracture and cerebral hemorrhage. After being intubated, he was transferred to Nicosia General Hospital and underwent surgery. His health condition is considered critical.

According to the evidence, the 61-year-old had a verbal altercation with another person, who allegedly hit him with a car.
