Aglantzia: Criminal Prosecution for Fatal Car Accident

Criminal prosecution will be initiated against the driver involved in the fatal car accident in Aglantzia last July, in which 20-year-old Kyriakos Antoniou from Agios Dometios lost his life.

According to the Police, the Legal Service has instructed for prosecution regarding the death of the 20-year-old and the traffic violations. The case file, which included an expert report, was sent to the Legal Service last month.

The accident occurred when Kyriakos Antoniou, driving on Larnakos Avenue, attempted to turn right at the traffic lights. A vehicle driven by a 24-year-old collided violently with the 20-year-old's car. The violent collision resulted in the victim's vehicle also crashing into the traffic lights.

According to investigations, the driver of the other vehicle was driving at excessive speed.
