31-Year-Old to be Rearrested for Stabbing Colleague in Larnaca

A 31-year-old security guard will be rearrested for causing grievous bodily harm after stabbing his colleague in Kofinou, Larnaca.

According to the Larnaca Police Department, around 11 p.m. on Thursday, August 14, a 32-year-old man was injured with a knife while working as a security guard at the Kofinou Asylum Seeker Reception Center. The two men reportedly had professional differences.

The 31-year-old allegedly visited the 32-year-old at his workplace and stabbed him. The perpetrator then went to the Kofinou Police Station and reported the incident, surrendering the knife. The injured man was taken to Larnaca General Hospital with a wound to the abdomen, but his condition is out of danger. The case is being investigated by TAE Larnaca.
