The list includes beaches from France, Spain, Croatia, Germany and Iceland
“The vastness of the sky, the blue of the sea, the meridian ocher of the sand and the vegetation that offers generous shade are a series of images that have been identified with the ideal beach and come to the mind of travelers when we say goodbye to winter”reports the popular French travel media Geo.fr in the first list he announced ahead of this summer with the 15 best beaches in Europe, which will fascinate the traveling public.
The list formed, based on a recent extensive research by Lonely Planet, includes two Greek beaches. In 11th place is the beach of Andros “Grias the Leap” which impresses with its shades and strange rock formations in the sea. It follows “Kokkinokastro” of Alonissos in 15th place, a beautiful strip of land that crosses the turquoise exotic waters of the island and creates indelible memories for visitors. Additionally, the list includes beaches from France, Spain, Croatia, Germany and Iceland.
“Andros shows a new dynamic, attracting tourists even outside the high tourist season. The traffic of the previous three days was at a high level and especially on Clean Monday the arrivals appeared strengthened by 40.4% compared to last year. The island’s climate, picturesque settlements, excellent services and lacy coastline bring summer earlier, offering quality but not overpriced travel experiences, just two hours from Rafina. After all, this is also the “trunk” of our calling in Greece and abroad”, says the mandated councilor for Tourism of the Municipality of Andros, Nikos Moustakas.
“Alonissos it means relaxation on exotic beaches, local cuisine, authentic hospitality and rejuvenation through alternative activities such as sea excursions, diving and nature exploration. Our organized effort resonates in foreign markets such as France. We capitalize on the new trend that encourages quality over standardization in travel. It is no coincidence that the new year found Alonissos at the top of the recommended destinations for 2024, according to Le Figaro and Die Welt”, pointed out the chairman of the Tourism Committee of the Municipality of Alonissos, Konstantinos Chlivas.
