Citizens who are entitled to a tax refund should declare the number normally
For the convenience of citizens who have completed the 65th year of their agei.e. born up to 31/12/1958, and citizens with a disability of 67% or more, for the submission of the tax declaration they are advanced by the Independent Public Revenue Authority (AADE).
Specifically, from today 11/6/2024, citizens who belong to the above categories are not required to disclose an IVAN account before submitting the tax return of tax year 2023 income, unless there is a credit balance from their declaration or an amount of other tax is pending for them to be refunded.
It should be noted that the IVAN can be declared:
• On the myAADE digital portal (myaade.gov.gr) by following the path Register & Contact > IBAN Account Statement
• In the myAADEapp mobile application by selecting Contact Information > IBAN.
It is noted that until today:
• As of 4/25/2024, the start date for submitting this year’s tax returns, 854,243 IVANs have been declared.
• There remain 75,464 citizens who have reached the age of 65 or have a disability of 67% or more, are entitled to a tax refund and have not declared an IVAN.
